Clinic
A clinic for residents is conducted on weekdays between 10h00 and 11h00 in the Care Centre. Here the residents can have their blood pressure and blood sugar levels checked, as well as have dressings changed, and other nursing assistance.
Emergency Call-out Facility
The Care Centre provides an emergency call-out facility for residents (24 hours a day). This is facilitated by an emergency alarm button system that is supplied in all units of the Retirement Village.
Security
The complex is secured with 24 hour manned security, electrified fencing, and emergency response from Blue Security.
Communal Interaction Areas
The “Stein“ lounge, the “Oehley” lounge and library promote interaction amongst residents.
The Gardening Committee
A group of interested residents help maintain the gardens within the complex.
Shopping Transport
Weekly transport is provided for shopping to the Umhlanga Village, La Lucia Mall, Gateway and Crescent shopping centres.
Entertainment
Bible study, entertainment, play reading, craft making, happy hour, bridge, games etc is provided for the residents on a regular basis.
Hairdresser
There is a hairdresser facility on the premises. Open Tuesday and Thursday; from 9am till 1pm. Bookings are made onsite.
Tuck Shop
The Tuck shop is open twice a week for basic food and beverage requirements.
Private Functions
Should a resident wish to host a private function this can be arranged in the Lounge on request.
Outside Excursions
Outside tours to places of interest are regularly arranged for residents. E.g. Botanical Gardens, The Playhouse, Nurseries, Beachfront etc.
Laundry service
A laundry service is provided for residents and a full time employee operates the washing machines and tumble dryers. A fee (R17.00 per wash or dry) is charged to cover costs and laundry tickets may be purchased from the office.
Generator
A Stand-by generator is in place for when Eskom service is disrupted.
Dining Room
A communal Dining room facility offers 3 meals a day.
