By Margaret Wood, Resident, 2005
It certainly is a lovely place
Where folks retire to less space
Our families know that where we are
Is the best place by near or far.
The gardens are a treat to see
Each one labouring on bended knee
The Frail Care with its marvellous team
Look after all who need their care
Glad we are to have them there
Activities there are quite a lot
What with bingo, bridge, or video spot
The happy hour for friends to meet
It’s only an hour but a special treat
There were Les Girls big and strong
Working hard as they went along
Keeping each other happy and jolly
They were the ones who brought in the lolly.
Oh, there’s Albert, willing and strong
Fixing all that has gone wrong
Clive and Gayle, they have their tasks
For favours done be large or small
They do their best to please us all.
My ode is now over, and I’d like to say
Twilanga will be remembered for many a day.
